Communicating Science Workshop

“Communicating Science Workshop” (for Stem students, faculty, and professionals)

Presented by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).


This 3-hour, interactive workshop is geared towards current DSU STEM graduate students, adjuncts and new faculty. Participants will learn how to identify a public engagement goal, reach a relevant audience (i.e. community members, industry professionals, the press, policy makers, K-12 students), craft tailored messages and rehearse an engagement scenario. This free workshop will be led by a guest speaker from the AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science). Lunch included. Sponsored by the Title III REEMS Project Grant (College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences & Technology), with thanks to the Office of Graduate Studies for its generous support.
